What the hell happened to Yahoo Chat? Where are the chat rooms?

I can't see the option for Yahoo chat in the new messenger at all. It seems you can only chat to people who are already in your address book. I just wanted to start chatting again, I want to be able to join different chat rooms. It has been almost 10 years since I've used Yahoo chat. Can somebody please guide me?
The problem is that Yahoo Messenger does not give me the option for Yahoo Chat when I click on Messenger. Does anybody have a clue about what is wrong?
 
That is probably the best question I've seen today!!..Anyway I have no idea!..I hope someone that knows answers this!.lol
 
If you mean where are the Yahoo chat rooms they are still there and can be access via the Messenger menu at the top of Yahoo Messenger. Click Messenger and then Yahoo! Chat..join a room will show next and choose that.
