On this type of jeep I had one that did the same thing.I had to replace the fan switch that is screwed into the side of the fan.It is located on the back side by the fan motor with 2 wires that are attached to it.Use a crescent wrench to unscrew the fan switch but disconnect it from the wire lead.Make up some extra electrical connectors with a good length of wire with the ends of the wire take and put some connectors on the plug in socket that lead to the fan motor to test it.But have enough wire length to reach the battery posts.Hook one up to the positive post and the other up to the negative post for ground.Black is ground that comes from the fan motor.And hook the other up to the positive post to test to see if it comes on.If the fan comes on your problem is the fan switch but if not the fan might need replaced.If you need to ask any other question about this email me at [email protected]
