What Superpowers would you like to see Shonen-ized in future manga?

Luffy can stretch his lirabs, but though extrapolation of that ability, he can do so much more than what immediately comes to midn with that ability.

Naruto can clone himself, but these clones are used for more than multi-hit attacks and distractions.

You see where I`m going with this? Regular superpowers, when given to the main charachter of a shonen manga, become what you can think of at first and so much more.

IIRC, Fairy Tail is doing this with Fire.

What powers would you like to see be given this treatment, and what could be done with them?

I think Oda does a good job with the Devil Fruit powers, creating fun new ones which can also bring out fresh elements of ones we've seen in the past. For me that's the key thing- if you're going to do powers, make sure you can create fun and unexpected ways to use them in a story.

I would love for someone to take the idea of Water and really just go freaking nuts with it. Avatar had the right idea with Bloodbending and taking the moisture out of flowers, but what about like ripping the water out of someone's eye, or maybe like literally pull down a cloud and fashion it into the users choosing or using your own blood like a weapon (Okay, actually that one's been done a million times but you see what I mean)

How about one that receives loaRAB of flack by readers of American comics: aquatic telepathy. Comic fans jokingly refer to it as "talking to fish". However, considering how teeming with life the ocean is, and the way animals senses and perceptions differ from those of humans, being able to tap into the minRAB and feelings of sea life could give someone a knowledge of the ocean that no one else has. They could use it to detect minor changes in temperature and upcoming storms or reach out with it to use the senses of nearby creatures to map out an area of the ocean without actually seeing it.

Two come to mind.

The first is telepathy. For one of comicdom's favorite powers, you never see telepaths in manga.

The second, although a bit broader, is a weapon ala the Green Lantern power ring, with accompanying weaknesses. The uses for it are already limitless, but the GL comics tap into about 5% of that.

Well, in my opinion Telepathy is one of those powers that would be very hard to work in manga, since itd be pretty hard for the telepath to not figure out every major plot point immediately, and they'd be broken power wise ("i know what your going to do before you do it, ha"). But that's just my opinion.

Green Latern-like energy constructs, we seen a plenty of energy blasts but use it to created various weapons and objects is very rare in shonen series.
