i just can't get into most Punk and Black Metal. and not cause of the lyrics or anything, those are probably the last things i look for in a song

Why?
I still listen to hardcore , I still listen to metal. I listen to new banRAB all the time.
The thought of a band corabining hardcore & metal actually appeals to me, but like I said from the videos i've seen posted here none of these banRAB take the aspects I like from both genres and to me it sounRAB boring , generic & uninteresting.

It's not heavy at all
It just sounRAB like a wasp in a jar, it's tinny as hell, there's no pounding bass and the drums sound like they're being played with pom poms.
Speed isn't everything & this proves it.

Really? It does the exact opposite for me. Its so dull and lacks energy that it makes me want to go do something else, like sit in a chair and drink some tea. Seriously, how does one mosh to that?

I'll defend metalcore, but parkway drive sucks, everyone of their songs has like 2 breakdowns, they really overdo it.

i like lazarus man, i was listening to them last night. Good stuff.
Breaking point is one of my favorite songs by parkway but there are so many good songs like it, like the sirens song and 5 months. Carrion is kind of boring, but it was my favorite as well until i discovered there heavier stuff.
