I own a 2002 Ford Focus and just bought a new Kenwood head unit and speakers for it.
The head unit is a Kenwood KDC-U446 and the speakers are 2 x 2 Pairs of 3-way Kenwood KFC-C6893PS.
The head unit has a peak output of 50W x 4 and the speakers have a peak wattage of 480W per pair.
I was originally going to just install the head unit and speakers but when I realized my head unit couldn't make my speaker perform to their best I figured I should get an amplifier and while I'm at it a sub.
So should I get a same brand amp and sub?
Is a 1200W Sub decent?
What wattage amp and how many channels will I require to make everything work?
I'm really noob at car audio so any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
