what Stereo should i buy, Alpine or kenwood or other?

i have a 05 ford focus hatchback. Their are 2 speakers in the two front doors. I know that for the price, i would be getting low end speakers. I am not an expert at speakers and which is better, and when i read reviews it confuses me. I just want to be able to listen to music at any volume and have it be clear, crisp, but have the ability to change it to the music i listen to. I was told i would need an amp to make it sound better? Any advice would be great. I don't want to spend a ton of money too. Thanks!
 
dont listen to this guy...those suck go with kenwood or alpine the internal amp on Pioneers suck....i had a 1994 Camaro with all stock speakers exept 2 6x9 and a 80 dolllar radio (kenwood) and it sounded like i had an amp and sub but i didnt
 
If you are going to change the stereo... I would go with Pioneer, best bang for the buck... If you dont need a warranty, ebay always has great prices... As for speakers, I would go with Infinity Reference if you arent going to amp them or Infinity Kappa if you are going to amp them. An amp will really help making the music more clear and crisp...
