what started the whole gaza and israel ordeal?

I never understood what happened in the beginning between the two, I know israel wanted control of the gaza strip, or is that even true? What happened from the get go? Have they fighting for longer then i ve been alive? Can some light be shed for me, thanks.
 
Yes, the arabs fought the establishment of Israel since its inception, everytime the arabs would fight for their country back, Israel would win ( win the help of the USA) and TAKE MORE LAND

Gaza was taken by Israel 40 years ago, its NOT THEIRS, THEY ARE ILLEGALLY OCCUPYING IT
 
After several wars with the Arab countries, the Israelis
picked up more land. Arabs started the wars and now they
are crying they want the land back. Well tough luck.
Israel did give Gaza back to the Palestines and what they
got back for their kindness was human bombs and rockets.
Israel set up a blockade to prevent any shipments of arms
into Gaza. A floatila tried to break the blockade and a major
incident was made of it. Hope this brings you up todate.
