what sport should i try?

okay, so i did gymnastics from age 3-10...so i'm moderately flexible.
i did cheerleading last year (basketball season) but switched schools so i had to quit...i wasn't good tho (my jumps were horrible, and i JUST had gotten my round off backhandspring)

now, i've gained 10 pounds and i really need to start getting active in some kind of sport...
i cant play soccer/kicking ball sports well AT ALL, i start losing my breath when running for more than 30 seconds...and when i play volleyball, i always hit it with the insides of my arms and it hurts like crud

help? :(

(i'm 15, 5'7 and 155 pounds)
 
U can always try basketball, softball, or even track...like the field events. Not to mention you could be on the pom squad or even the drill team, or the flag corp.

I'm throwing an idea out there for you. You can embrace or forget about it, but I really think you should give dancing a try. You say that you are flexible, which helps tremendously in dance. I could never hit a volleyball to save my life and agree that It hurts bad when you bump it (is that what it's called?) As a dancer myself, I can tell you that dancing is much more than a sport. Not only does it give you a lot of exercise in every part of your body, It is something that allows you to express yourself. You may stop reading this if you think it's cheesy, and Im sorry if you think I'm being cheesy but dance works wonders! It's all I could ever ask for and a blessing in this world.

You should give it a try! Good luck!

Oh, and please don't be self conscious about trying dance. Lots of the dancers on So you think you can dance didn't start dancing until they were 15 or 16! And don't be self conscious about the way you look either. Everyone is built differently, just embrace life and go for it!

im the same age as u, same hieght, same weight and i love it.
im pretty unfit but its not a really hard sport. all you do is run up and down the court fast each game. so not as much running as others.
and i love it :) :)
 
Try pingpong, a very good sports. It will make you very flexible and very coordinated in your muscle movements, and gives you a terrific health.
