I want a sport that truly liberates me, that's fun to do, that makes me feel strong and I can keep on (and will want to keep doing) at it for a long, long time.
I was thinking either fencing or horseriding? Trouble is, with fencing I'm not sure how fast/strong I am or how enjoyable a sport it is, and it looks a little messy. However, I love the idea of being able to defend myself, of being able to hold myself against an opponent in a match, of being strong by myself, e.t.c e.t.c and I love swordfights.
Trouble with horseriding is, the few rides I've been on I haven't displayed brilliant natural skill and it feels like something of an overrated sport that everyone does. However I love the idea of horseriding, it's beauty and grace , the fact there's a partnership between the horse and rider, and all the components of it.
So ANY SUGGESTIONS for which sport will make me feel free & strong? Note: I'm not good at team sports/artsy kind of sports like calisthenics. Is fencing hard/is fencing good? Is horseriding hard/is horseriding good? What do YOU think I should do and WHY?
Please, please, provide proper & critical information and explain WHY precisely, so that I can evaluate and make my decision !
