What Sport Option do I pick at GCSE?

I'm currently in year 9 and now at my school taking a Sport Qualification is compulsory. The options available are GCSE PE, Btec PE and a Leadership Course. I won't be taking Leadership so my choice is out of BTec and PE. Taking GCSE you get 1 GCSE grade but taking BTEc you get the equivalent of 2 GCSE grades. The GCSE is more practical and the BTec is more written. How do Universities and Employers see these qualifications? I need help deciding which to take and those with experience would be a great source of advice. By the way I am good enough to take either according to my teachers. Thanks.
And another point- I will not be pursuing any A levels, degrees or careers in Sport. I'm more academic.

I you are not looking for a career in sport then maybe take the GCSE. The GCSE PE will be less work and it means that you can concentrate more on more important subjects. I personally think that everyone should just do GCSE's and not these 'BTEC's. And plus every college, university and employer know what a GCSE is. But some might not class a BTEC as a GCSE so might not accept it. But the choice is up to you.

Good Luck
