he did not actually lose hair but since he recieved that lifesaving transplant a couple months after that crappy stuff i found on his head, i doubt it got to the point of where you are with it. but this stuff he just developed in a few different spots on his head were really thick, kind of crusty and a bit greasy as well, i had no clue just where this came from or what it really was. he had so many different really crazy things that were taking place during his failure it was really difficult to really get anything truely Dxed,ya know? it was just one more crazy thing he had during that time. about those suppliments? some can affect certain results/organs but other labs would really show the whole story when they are looked at overall? it would depend alot on just what you were taking, how much per day and, what overall affect if any it actually has on any given organ. just what have you been taking?
i seriously would call your docs office and ask for a "release of information" to be sent to you(you just have to tell them you want to obtain all your medical records, they know what to do). you just sign it telling them you want copies of EVERYTHING in that file including any and all testing results for how ever long you have had ongoing symptoms. get about at least the past two years worth. this will have all the info you need to see just what is and was going on during any tests done and also will give you your very important docs 'impressions" of what he may have felt was going on at any clinic visit you have had(they HAVE TO do a dictation after every visit they have with any patient).
if you have ever seen any other docs for this, also obtain those records too. you just REALLY NEED to see these records for yourself and then start asking questions of your doc. the more info you can obtain the better for you. this is what i have had to do for my ongoing major medical problems and my sons too, just to be able to try and stay on top of everything. just keep all the most pertinent info, like all testing results in an expanding type of folder. i take that folder to every single doc or specialist visit we have. that way, when some doc wants to know something i cannot remeber, i just have to pop into my own files. it really does help alot or i wouldn't be telling you to do this, trust me.
but you just DO really need to know for certain where your liver is at right now. just because you don't hear anything from any given doc does NOT mean that everything is actually okay, believe me, i have been thru that one many times unfortunetly. the fact that someone actually asked about alcohol consumption would be a concern here too. i would be making some phone calls today just to get that ball rolling. it usually takes about a week or two to get the records just so you know. they will send them in the mail right out to your mailbox. pretty handy. you just really NEED those records right now. please keep us posted as to anything you find out. good luck, FB
