I am painting something for my fiancee for his birthday. I have always used acrylics on canvas, but on paper, it curls it. I am painting on a world map as we are both world travelers, and I am tracing our travels up to the point of us meeting with symbols, dates, etc. The map is old antique style, old world colors.
I am wondering what paint would me best for this to avoid the paper from curling. Does anyone have any suggestions? I thought of maybe painting a border around it onto a larger canvas... not sure what to do yet.
