I'm going to be auditioning for Into The Woods in a few weeks and i don't know what song to do. I've heard I should do a Sondheim song because into the woods is his, and also not to do something from the musical itself. As far as Sondheim goes, I know sweeney todd like the back of my hand so i was thinking about doing something from that, like maybe 'wait',but that song doesn't show great range and green finch and linnet bird is so over done. I'm a soprano 1 in most cases, but as far as belting goes, mezzo soprano. I'm not sure what role is best for me, i haven't watched the play in a year or 2, so i need to refresh my memory. If anyone could offer me any suggestions on what to do I'd really appreciate it!
