What should you look for in a flash/usb drive?

I am looking for an 8GB flash/usb drive for about $20. I am willing to pay more. I want to put photos, videos, software, etc. I just want to know what I should look for in a flash drive.
 
There's not much to look for... the technology is very basic and there really isn't much of a difference across flash drives.

Solid ones will last longer than ones that flip or slide simply because there's no moving parts but the difference is minimal.
 
all flash/usb drives are pretty much made up of the same thing all the prices are based on who the name of the manufacturer is. But the main thing you should look for is durability! Just look at them play with them a but make sure that they are solid but the only thing I would say is don't buy the ones with the retractable fronts cause I had one before and one day it got stuck and that was the end of that
