My stepson is planning a beach wedding in Florida next August. I am not very tolerant of the heat, so I would rather not wear a formal gown, but at the same time, I don't want to be too informal for a wedding. My future step daugther in law will be wearing a traditional wedding dress and my step son wants to wear a tux (yes, a tux, in August, in Florida, on the beach!).
I know a lot of designers are catering to the informal destination wedding for bridal gowns. Does anyone know of any designers who are catering to these types of weddings for the mother of the bride/groom?
TB--I tried. They were in Florida a couple weeks ago scouting out resorts to have the wedding and the wedding coordinators tried to tell them too. They will hear nothing of it. They basically want to have a regular church wedding, but on a beach in Florida. And it's their wedding...if he wants to spend it passed out from heat exhaustion, who am I to judge?
