What should I wear to the Valentine's Day Dance?

So, I'm in high school now and I really wanna dress more "appropriate" for my age.. do you kinda get what I'm saying? I'm planning on going out of my comfort zone (NOT THAT WAY IF THATS WHAT YOU'RE THINKING!) but just to act older.. i guess. What should I wear? I cant spend too much money on clothes.. unless its something that I can wear over and over again. And I prefer not to wear heels.The dance pretty casual..no one wears like ball gowns or fancy dresses. But everyone looks nice. Help?
 
Get a simple, springy dress (red and pink) and wear flats. Simple yet cute. Casual yet dressy.
 
Well sorry I can't give you a link cause I don't know how but um maybe you could have a cute mini-dress that's not to short at your knees in sliver or pink, red , white with some ballet flats and then later you can wear it with legging (if you get the right dress) and or a belt (if you get a dress you can belt) Hope I helped Happy Valentines
