What should I wear to my new job - it's in the woods and outdoors mostly?

Go to the thrift stores-pick up some loose jeans/shirts, along with a light jacket/heavy coat if it get's cold, & some small shoe-like work boots, along with some gloves for bad weather/etc. if you're outside. (& keep those clothes for "on the job" purposes.-I work out-doors.)
 
I got a job this summer to go around and set up traps for moths in the woods. I start training next week and I don't know what to wear. I'm sure it's an informal dress kind of job but I don't know if I should wear pants or shorts or something nice for the first day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
