What should I pay for a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am Gt?

I saw a car I like at the local family owned used car sales lot in my town. It is a silver 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT. It is fully loaded with leather, moon roof, spoiler, auto seats and windows, and hood scoops. It has 78,000 miles on it and could possibly come with a 3 month 3000 mile warranty. It was originally listed for 7100, but now they dropped the price to 6400.

What is a fair price to ask for this? What is it worth? Is it safe to buy GM cars now?
