What should I paint on my canvas for my room?

I'm a semi-good drawer, but I've never attempted painting before. I would love to put up a canvas in my room, the colour of my walls are a very pale peach. I'm not sure what would look good, and I'm hoping for a more simple design. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
i'd also really like to know from people with some experience or a designers eye, what colours would go well with pale peach?
 
why don't you do an abstract painting? maybe use a whole lot of different shades of brown, to contrast the peach..and just paint! if you want to go extremely simple, try lines/stripes. i know it sounds boring, but if done properly i think it can look stunning.. using different shades of brown paint different sized stripes across the canvas until you can no longer see the white.
also, whatever you decide doing, i think having some of the paint painted on to the canvas really thickly gives a really lovely texture to the image
