Hi,

here's my dilemma: my contract on my phone is up so i'm month to month now. i wanted to buy me a PDA (dell x51v) for school (nursing) like that i could put all kinda guides on it and everything. i was gonna buy a PDA and get a free or cheap phone from cingular and renew my contract.
would it be better to get the cingular 8525 instead?

what would you do? get a PDA(dell x51v) and a phone or a PDAphone? what would you do and why?

Thank you for your help.

I think that since you need the PDA and a phone there is really no need to get both. You might as well just get a PDAphone instead of getting both. So in conclusion i think that you should get the cingular 8525

If you get a PDAphone, keep in mind that while it's only one device to carry, it's going to be big for a phone and (probably) small for a PDA, and it only has one battery. If you run the battery down doing PDA functions, you won't be able to use the phone much and vice versa.

Myself, I prefer separate devices. Others prefer the integration of functions that a PDAphone/smartphone brings (not having to connect two devices to do e-mail or Web stuff or to dial from the PDA's contact list).
