What should i get for new car audio?

So im 16 have a 2004 mustang, I know nothing about audio, i have a stock stereo, and stock speakers, i dont want it to loud, and i dont want my car totally restricted, Its small enough. So can some one give me a little info about what i should get? and how much it would totaly get set up, thanks
