What should I do with Tmo and an issue I'm having-

I understand, yes, that's my point- it's in the contract so they'll stick to it and lose a customer.

Not a problem for me.

I know all companies make someone mad every day. Tmo made me mad, I'll take my chances elsewhere as opposed to sitting and sucking it up.

OK - I'll pipe in here as I've been in a similiar situation with regard to ex's and talking to others --

First of all, it is/was your responsibility to keep up with how your minutes were being used. TMO has a free service that allows you to do that from your phone, from you PC, etc.

Second, and this comes from "learning" - if you are being called from a blocked number, simply hang up and call that person back. This way you are calling a MyFav number and the minutes will be credited accordingly (just remember to remove the "evidence" from the call log / messages screen.)

Third, you are liable for the charges that you have incurrred.

Be careful with not paying. If you look at the news, you'll see things like GMAC raising the FICO level for being able to borrow to get a car. There is more at stake than a house here. Also, this could come in to play for signing up with another carrier when they check you out.

Listen Pimp. Cancel the contract, or change it. Pay the cost; and make your ex-wife pay an amount as well. If she doesn't. you can suck it up, or take her to court.

It is not T-mo fault. You will get the same answer with Sprint, ATT, and verizon.

Mind sharing what it is you found out? I hate their service, and i switched over to sprint this past weekend... i'd really like to know what they changed - they were charging me 100 bucks more a month on my bill, and had no explination of what the charges were, i had to call every month to get these charges removed. everytime i called, they had no idea where the charges were coming from. I had the family plan w/ 700 minutes as well. unlimited media package - my wife and i combined, never went over 500 minutes, we mostly do texting. i finally had with them. if i never checked my bill, and just paid it, they would've been taking an extra 100 bucks a month from me,for the past 8 or 9 months - thats almost a grand in unexplained charges.

try going to a retail store, and explaining it to them, sometimes soome of the stores will give you a credit, or they will talk to care on your behalf and maybe get some of the bill lowered. make sure it's corporate

Yeah, it was the change to text messaging- they wouldn't let me opt out of the contract.

I have Sprint and an 8130 now.

No, I'm no "pimp." If you must now, I had a crap marriage going downhill for quite some time. I didn't need her to nitpick and cry about talking to a friend about my problems as they got so serious the divorce was finally begun. Heck, she'd get bent out of shape if we had a fight and found out I talked to a friend or my mother about it. Does this fit your definition of "pimp?"

Thanks for the responses guys, I'll be paying Tmo a little at a time. Most importantly, I was always treated well by sprint so I decided I'd go back to them after dealing with Tmo's unwillingness to help in any sort of way.

I wonder what Sprint would done had JosephR had the same overages?

Wonder if JosephR would be willing to do the same thing with Sprint to test out how they would "work with him" for going over by $600 worth of talking with the reasoning it was a mistake because I normally only go over $200 worth of talking? Yes I know that Sprint doesn't have a MyFave type thing, but I wonder how they would respond to a user mistake?

Also wondering why he left Sprint in the first place?

I just wish Tmo listed Private calls (blocked) and Unknown numbers differently in the caller id, right now their both listed as UNKNOWN NUMBER (blech)

Just because your GF blocked her number .the number, date and time she called your number will still show on her bill. get a copy of her bill and match all the dates and times ALL the dates and times of the blocked numbers on your bill should match exactly to her bill showing she called your number ... that should be prof as long as the all match up
