I was playing a fre poker tourn at a local bar today, because its walking distance from my house. Now having developed amazing skills at the blackjack table in regards to keykcarding and shuffle tracking, I found myself watching the dealer shuffle as i always do when playing blackjack....Then amazing things started to happen.
I found that with 8-10 players at the table it was EXTREMELY easy, and common to be able to gain information about the flop before the cards were dealt to it....In a span of maybe 20 round I beleive about half of them I found information through the dealers sloppy shuffling resulting in....
-knowing 1 of the cards to be dealt during the flop
-knowing the value of a card somewhere on the table in somebody elses hand targeting 3-4 players, (this was the most common)
-In one case knowing 2! of the cards coming out on the flop before it came
-Knowing 1 or more cards were not going to be dealt
Taking advantage of the information was difficult because you still cant controll what hands you get, but one time I knew there was an ace of clubs in somebodies hand a few seats to my left, and when I ended up heads up with the guy immediately to my left and he raised with an ace on the board, I knew he was the guy, and I knew he had a pair of aces. I scared the crap out of him when i asked if he had the ace of clubs, and sure enough he did.
I think I may need to abandon the blackjack table for a bit and fool around with this. Whats the scoop on exploiting information like this at a poker table. Is anybody else familier with the profit yeilds of such exploitation of dealer errors?
Obviously I would have to have some basic poker playing skills to be at par with other regular players in he casino, so who can recomend a informative book on professional poker thats full of number crunched facts and not just some guys tactics he came up with playing poker in his basement for 30 years
