What should I do with my garden?

I live in a place where we can't plant til the middle of May. BUT the plants are already growing in my garden . There is still a ton of snow..but the snow is not on the garden. Should I put snow on the garden for moisture? Start weeding? Water it even though the water will freeze? The garden is against my house..that's probably why it's warmer than the lawn.
