What should I do with a half used composition book?

I am going into Freshman year, and I have 2 old composition books from last year. They are filled up about 1/3 of the way, because the teachers didn't bother using them for the second half of the year. I considered ripping the pages out, but the binding on the composition books would be weird after. If there is a way to reuse the 2/3 of the book I didn't use already, I haven't found it online yet, so answer away! = D
 
Buy or make a tab to place at the end of the used pages so that you can quickly go to the blank pages. Then continue using them this year. If the teachers object, just quote Kermit the Frog. "It's not easy being green". If you know the song then actually sing that phrase to the teacher. If the teacher objects, the tell him/er that some "cheapskate, old, dragon geek on Yahoo! Answers told you to save a buck and the planet and use the book up".
