What should I do to learn more about electronics?

I've always been facinated by electronics,

creating programs, creating games, tvs, consoles, and simply electronics in general.

How can I learn to make an electronic? both by wires and circuit boards and by programing?
 
Buy some electronics kits. You will need a soldering iron and a multimeter.
Start with something simple like a flashing led kit.
then do some kits with IC's (integrated circuits(chips)).
Then you should look into doing some kits with micro-controllers.
However that is a bit of a big jump
Programming a micro-controller is difficult. You should probably have some programming knowlege before you attempt that.
 
Mehs answer is good but its also a good idea to buy documentation/reference books and some sort of guide to using electronics. If you have some spare money you could even try a course.
