What should I do if the Army screws me over?

I'm going to Army training for MP in about a month (for the army reserves). I want to switch to Active Duty and join the infantry, but I have a feeling the Army won't let me switch to infantry and will simply try to keep me as an MP.

(I joined the reserves because I wanted to stay in college, but i got bored with college and want to start my Army active duty career now)

What could I do if the Army won't let me switch to infantry? Could I go somewhere else and be in the infantry? USMC or somewhere else?
I wasn't planning on switching out of the Army (and really don't want to ever) before my contract is up.

Improvise Adapt and Overcome
They will take you in the infantry most likely
that is the job they need to fill more than any other!
good luck
