Sorry it is a little L O N G 
I invited a guy to a small movie party, thinking he is really good friends with one of my other friends. He was but now he is avoiding her and I don't know why! The party is in two days and they both responded saying they can go.... to top off the awkwardness of this situation he asked a different friend to be his movie buddy (this is a horror movie) she said no because she had only known him for a day. Then he texts her asking who she is being movie buddies with.....she thought this was a little creepy and said she was it with a different friend.....Then he texts her if I could be his buddy....we just go with it and now we don't know what to do.....he is still going and we are fine with that but why does he want to go with me (I only knew him for about a week) and not his other friend that he has known for a long time? Should I say anything to him? If so what?

Nothing is wrong with the situation. It is just weird! Why would he ignore a good friend all of a sudden........he does not even say "Hi"
The girl he was originally friends with does not seem to be mad at him....if she was she would have told me (we are really gooood friends)
