I'm home alone and I heard a someone fiddling with the door about thirty minutes ago. I thought maybe my aunt had gotten back and had lost her key so I went to the door and looked out the window and there was this weird, ugly man there who looked like he was a hobo or something. He saw me looking at him from the window and he ran off into the woods.
So I called my aunt's cell afterwords and she said not to open the door and stay inside. So that's what I've been doing. But just a few minutes ago I heard someone fiddling around with the backdoor. Went and looked out the window and saw the same man on the porch trying to get the door open. I yelled at him from the window and he ran off.
I am so scared but I don't want to call the cops simply because I don't feel like going through such a big fuss. What do I do? Am I safe sitting inside with the doors and windows locked or should I just go ahead and call the cops? What if he comes back again?
I've got a shotgun sitting beside me for protection but I'm still scared.
