i don't really eat the stuff but my partner likes it so i bought some today.

he was saying that you can put it in salads but what else can you use it for?

i tried some today---didn't like it at all :-(

i usually go for extremely mild flavours.

if i put it on top of pasta dishes will it over power the flavour. please help.

Slow roasted tomato and goats cheese bruschetta -

Ingredients

* 125ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil
* 6 small vine-ripened tomatoes or Sweet Plum Tomatoes
* 1 ciabatta loaf
* 1 bulb garlic
* 150g Goats Cheese, sliced
* Few sprigs fresh thyme, broken up into small pieces

Method
1 Preheat the oven to 150C/ 130C Fan/Gas 2. Lightly grease a baking tray with olive oil. Halve the tomatoes, cutting them through where the stem was. Put on the baking tray, cut side up, and brush with a little olive oil. Season well and roast in the oven for 1 hour until the tomatoes are cooked – they will be shrunken and soft.

2 Cut the bread into slices, 2cm thick. Cut the garlic bulb through the middle and dip it in oil. Rub the cut side on both sides of the bread to coat it lightly, re-dipping the garlic in oil for each slice.

3 Preheat the grill and lightly toast the bread. Then top each slice with 2 tomato halves and some of the sliced goats cheese. Grill until the cheese is glazed.

4 Scatter on a little thyme and serve immediately, drizzled with olive oil.

goats cheese is amazing! 2 of my favourite dishes are big flat mushrooms sprinkled with goats cheese then slowly cooked in and oven! great as a side dish or starter! and for a main meal, i do goats cheese and red onion tart! same as a quiche but the mixture is red onion goats cheese! when cooked it softens the strong taste and and is superb warm!! try it you will love it! or at least ur partner will!!

I usually like to have it on crackers, but it makes a really good pizza topping.
If you don't like the taste it doesn't matter what you do with it, it will still taste the same. I would just have it available for him and use a different cheese that you prefer for yourself.
