What should I clean my fish tank with?

I have a betta that I just got today. I know all the information but am wondering one thing. I have an unfiltered tank so when I clean it (which I will once a week) do I just use water and scrub all the stuff out. I will be cleaning it all out completely not just 25% or whatever. So do I need to use something else to clean it or just water to rinse it out? Thanks!=]

By the way, its a 2.5 gallon tank.
 
go buy a sponge and then make that for your fishtank so it has no chemicals on it then just scrub it but do that maybe once a month just change the water once a week
