What should be (reasonably) done to stop overpopulation and climate change worldwide?

Those two connected problems are threats to the planet.

Overpopulation will continue and will cause more problems:

(1)Famine, malnutrition, and starvation (Right now, 1 billion people are starving).
(2)A lack of adequate fresh water and will create problems (Ex:diarrhea, cholrea, dehydration).
(3)Deforestation (to build home and other products).
(4)over-comsumption of material possessions (ex:clothes)
(5)Depletion of natural resources
(6)High infant and child mortality rates (in poorer nations).
(7)More crime (ex:theft)
(8)More poverty (ex:homelessness, unemployment, etc.).
(9)Worsens climate change (ex:storms).
(10)Worsen pollution (ex:water pollution, noise pollution).
(11)Soil pollution, erosion, land degradation.
(12)A restriction on personal freedoms.
(13)Pandemics
(14)Deplorable living conditions.

The governments in every nation could:

(1)Impose a one child policy in every nation (The problem is that there are too many unwanted children that end up in orphanages, on the streets etc.)

(2)Have a worldwide universal health care for all citizens of every nation (and have governments pay for the medical services).

(3)Provide free education in all countries include post-secondary education.

(4)abolish child labor, servile labor etc.

(5)Governments should make domestic abuse, child abuse and elder abuse hate crimes.

(6)Ban all forms of discrimination in every country of the world against people (including women, people with disabilities etc.)

(7)Law enforcement in every nation should go after and break up hate groups (ex:KKK, and far right religious fanatics who commit henious crimes), organized crime (ex:Mafia, Triads, Yakuzas, drug cartels etc), terrorism groups (ex:F.A.R.C., Taliban, I.R.A, Al-Qaeda groups and cells, Shining Path Group in Peru, ecoterrorism groups etc)
 
the world can hold and support 10 times its population also Global warming is a hoax so sleep well tonight and relax Mommy will bring you milk and cookies.
 
The problems we face now can only be addressed with volumes of books detailing the work to be done in the name of survival. But over population I think is over rated. We have one inexhaustible source of resources .... the human brain .... and please trust me; we can handle 12 billion if we put our minds to it.
Rather than trying to discourage the human race "not to copulate for population" it would be better to encourage all offspring of every adult to put their hearts and minds into saving the planets resources.
We are quickly if we haven't already; becoming a populace that speaks one language and even God Himself turned to His angels at one time and said ... "if this is what man can do speaking one language; then soon nothing will be impossible to him". Then He sent different languages to the men and women who were building the tower of Babylon!!
If God knows that then surely we who are so close to one language should know that. If we know that then we can afford 12 billion people easy. We just have to put our mind to it.
 
Why should the fact that people dump their babys and they go into orphanages prevent me from having more than one child of my own.
Just because these people can not handle their own responsibilities or can not afford to sustain financial stability does not mean that people who are on a reasonable income should be prevented from having more than one child.
The every day family can not solve the world problems in regard to other people not taking care of their kids. That is up to the nations of the world. The Governments. For them to tackle the poverty line etc.
But preventing people from having more than one child is disgusting considering not everyone is dumping their kids and not looking after them.

Western countries , do care about climate change. Its the countries that have a high industrial area and manufactoring base that create the pulltion that contaminates the world.
So i will continue to do my bit. Recycle , save water etc. But noone will tell me i can not have kids or more than one kid. Simply because i do my bit and i look after my children.
The reason i feel so strongly about the issue is because i see the government of australia for example, spend millions of dollars on stupid things like putting christmas lights in the streets. But does not feed or house the homeless. Its ridiculous
How about the government for one year stop spending things on luxuries and things that look good and just put that money towards where it counts. Healthcare, homeless etc.
Not every politician needs a new car, fuel paid for, etc. They do not need three course meals every night while they stay away from home. A simple dinner can do , just like everyone else has.
Until they stop that spending . I am going to breed like rabbits.
At least i take care of the people and children under my care
Unlike the governments. Put the money , where it counts. Where it is going to make a difference in the lives of others. Not on luxuries u think u deserve for working hard or making something look beutiful just because it is the season to be jolly.
If i had the choise to either decorate the streets for christmas or feed one homeless family over the christmas holidays . I know i would choose to feed the homeless family.
At least it gives them hope for a brighter future . Rather than putting some tinsel up on a building and taking it down two months later, big deal..........
