What should America's State Religion Be?

This is ridiculous and dangerous notion. First of all, I think the poll is a good representation that no single religion would satisfy most Americans. Secondly, if the State favors one religion, it would require the Congress to have enough support to amend the constitution to elimate the 1st amendment. People who want to trample on the bill of rights for their own personal satisfaction is what is destroying this country, not liberals who use their brains.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
I honestly don't understand how conservatives and Fox and right wing christian groups can claim that they are 'under attack'. It is scary that people forget that this is a country that is not meant to sponser religion. In 1954 when the pledge of allegiance was changed under political pressure from the knights of columbus, Americans, even though many are christian should have stopped that from happenning. More and more Christian groups are becoming political groups, and fighting to make this not a secular nation free of internal conflicts, but a Christian nation. Why do we think that America is one of the only countries that do not have constant civil wars and infighting. Religion is the cause of so much fighting in the world, I really wish people would stop beating religion into every aspect of our life.

Well lets just say in yours or my lifetime Big Orn and hopefully it remains as it is for many thousanRAB of years because when it does and if it does change to paganism God will destroy it like he did Sodom.....

I said it once and will say it again: Once it does it will no longer be the USA and those that "kick against the goaRAB" will wish till their nose bleeRAB that it still was.

JMHO, though.

If you are a Christian you would think you would follow the Bible...as this is kinda what makes us Christian. One can't really pick and choose what parts of the Bible to follow and what not to as if you are Christian it is an all or nothing deal.

Its called seperation of church and state, therefore to be American a true American, while still maintaining your own personal faith you would never seek to impose your faith on others

What double standard...........

I notice your from the UK and are quite critical of the way the U.S. is run.............

Let me cite a little sory for you:

During my Navy career I served on 5 Navy ships.......The Crew of the ships constantly complained and bellyached about what a bad ship it was but let someone from another ship make any adverse comments about their ship and those were fighting worRAB...........

Bear that in mind when you constantly criticize and put this country down........The very country with without our help you in the UK would be speaking German now...........

Since when? I suggest that you check your facts. You blew this one, badly. Divorce has been legal in the Catholic Church for quite some time.

Henry VIII felt bad having his wives beheaded, so he created the Church of England so he could divorce them instead. :)

It's not difficult to understand claims that Christianity is under attack when anti-Christian activists target every Christmas display, Christmas pageant or reference to Christmas that occurs on public property.

Clint Eastwood. How quaint. Did he replace John Wayne as hero for that audience segment of blind patriotism? Good old Hollywood still works wonders with entertainment delusion.
