What shall I wear to a beginners salsa class?

I have never been to one, and im not too sure what to wear - I am particularly interested to hear from people who have previously been to a class, or know someone that has - I don't want to turn up looking very out of place!

Should I wear heels or flats? - A dress or trousers? etc...

You should wear dresses or a blouse with a skirt.
Btw you should wear heels because if you will be on a salsa class you should wear heels so when you'll perform so it'll be your habit wearing heels because when you perform you'll use heels in dancing

Heels, and something frilly.
Its common custome to say "colgate" to your dance instructor when you first meet him/her. It will get you off on good terms.
