Red wine: cook some Italian Sausage down in a pot, adding thinly sliced onion, and garlic. When the meat is good and cooked, drain some of the fat. Add loads of basil, dry red wine, and a tablespoon or so of tomato paste, if need be, a bit more garlic and cook down for about an hour. Serve over pasta.
Balsamic Vinegar: Make a reduction and dip fresh strawberries in it. It is so great.
