What RPMs to ride at

I've noticed that my '10 SG doesn't like it when it lugs below 2000 rpm so I try to keep above that. I usually shift into 6th when I'm at 60mph and above. It's kind of like an overdrive of sorts, on the roads I'm usually on in North Jersey I hardly ever get out of 5th!

Thanks everyone for your replies and information. I agree the manual is a bit optimistic about being in 6th at 60 MPH. I can cruise there, but I certainly can't accelerate briskly. Along the same acceleration line, I noticed this bike hates (!) the extremely hot temps we had a few weeks back (110-118 F). That hot, thin air really saps the power. A ride in 80F temps the other day made the bike feel like a completely different animal. I'm hoping the race tuner and some dyno time will richen her up a bit and solve that issue. Anyway, thanks again to all. Ride safe, rubber side down.

Nothing that 1/2 can of Sea Foam in the tank from time to time and 1/2 can in the crankcase 50 miles before changing the oil won't be able to eliminate.
Check the color of your oil before putting Sea Foam in it and check the color when you drain it.
