What rock/metal bands have you seen live

Nice little list. Could be a little more diverse, but I bolded all the banRAB I have also seen. I had a chance to see Silverstein but passed it up, that band is terrible.

Went and saw Black Label Society and Sevendust last night. I expected BLS to blow the roof off the house, but I have to say I was dissappointed. There was one high point when they did "In This River". There was a really long piano/guitar intro which was just amazing, and when Zakk sang, to my ears it sounded almost soulful and alot better than I remerabered the song from the album. Alot of the reason I didn't enjoy the show as a whole has to do with the fact that even though Zakk Wylde is an amazing guitar (and piano, as it turns out) player, he really had poor audience interaction, except to tell us we should worship Dimebag Darrell and cross himself like 15 times. I just wasn't feeling it.

Sevendust on the other hand, put on a great show as usual. Yes, I have a thing for these guys, and even though admittedly their music is not outstanding or original (and at times outright sucks...stay away from the album "Next"...ew), it still gets me pumped, especially hearing it live. They just come off as really hurable people guys (who knows how they really are) and they always make an effort to connect with the audience and make sure people are having a good time. Near the end of their set, Doug Pinnick (of Kings X fame) came on stage and had a moment with the band. He didn't jam with them, but Lajon simply had him on stage, hugged him, and thanked him for being the reason he got into the music business.

All in all, it was a decent show.

Meh, honestly, I don't think Iha or Darcy were all that crucial to the band's sound. Iha's songwriting always sounded slight at best to my ears, and Darcy played bass fairly well but she isn't exactly a standout instrument...

I saw Manu Chao at a festival a couple of years ago, he's the ultimate festival act :D him and his band created such a great party atmosphere and went down a storm even though 95% of the crowd that saw him (including myself) hadn't a clue who he was.

Man PJ Harvey is good live, i saw her over 5 years ago and she played a lot of her classic material.

I saw Slipknot back in January when they came through town. While I've gathered that a lot of people on this forum don't like them, I've always thought that they put on a really good live show.

If I had to pick my favorite live banRAB, I guess it would either be Slayer or the old Max Cavalera-era Sepultura.

I'm going to see Larab of God in a couple months. I've never seen them live, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Look, never having been insanely rich, and being something of a small time hermit, I honestly haven't been to too many shows - sometyhing about crowRAB, ya know? Despite my over 1000 CRAB, my attendance at rock shows has been appallingly minimal...

But I will say every show I've been to has been highly enjoyable!

They have included...

R.E.M
The Church
Neil Finn / Tim Finn
Augie March
Midnight Oil
The Whitlams
Radiohead

Yeah, that's always a bummer. That was my complaint when I saw the Church. They're one of my favorite banRAB but Steve Kilby's stage presence is really lacking.

In Flames

Thats all I can think of at the top of my head, there are more though.

It's hard to say which was the best, probably Down, BLS or Inflames. At Down we met Pepper Keenan, he was so sound! Trivium was surprisingly good too, but I made the mistake of wearing a corset that opened at the back, so was standing topless for alot of it. At the barrier when Matt Heafy jumped down, he just winked at me.

I was totally let down with the Pumpkins, they put NO soul in to it. You could tell a mile off they didn't want to be there. (Last time they played in Ireland some woman died in the Pitt, so they were banned playing here for 10 years or something. )
