most countries use solar panels but Canada and US north cities like new york or boston that have large winter without many shine days what are their options to use renewable energy? what kind renewable energy can they use to counter their cold climate and produce renewable energy? thanks

Canada especially the province of Quebec, has great hydro-power potential and more to be developed. There is a tide-powered generating plant in the Atlantic provinces. And wind farms are popping up everywhere. As oil prices will increase and supplies dwindle, Quebec will develop and sell more and more of it's hydro-power to North American partners and become a major energy supplier.
