What programs are there so that I can connect my phone to my computer? ?

I already tried this program BitPim, but my phone is to updated for that program. I have the usb for my phone, and the computer recognized it. I want to be able to take all sorts of data from my phone and be able to put it on my computer and vice versa. My phone is the Samsung A 737, and my computer is a mac. Please help.
