What primer, lacquer and paint should I use on my guitar?

I am re-painting my old squire strat electric guitar and was wondering what type of primer paint and laquer i should use on it.
Also I live in the UK so suggestions on where to get the products would be good as well.

Also I would like to have a darker green paint and a lighter lime green paint as well as a white paint.
 
Strip all old paint off to avoid any problems with contamination and reaction between the paint types.

Car accs shop - buy tin of Acrylic Primer - then use any colours from the range of car colours - coat with Acrylic Laquer when colour is OK for you.

If poss - find the Primer that is ETCHING PRIMER - this bonds to the wood and is bomb proof once dry.
