I'm about to go to college and major in English and hopefully make a living doing journalism, technical writing, or editing; anything with writing. I try to write everyday, and if I don't, it's every other day. What I write is really just thoughts, but other than that I'm working out of a book called "The Art of Styling Sentences". I'm really enjoying it because I'm learning parts of sentences and how to use them. I want to get better at story telling and expand my vocabulary. When I write stories, they usually come out weak, bland and fruitless; I just don't see the value that I want. Are there any practices for both technical and creative writing I can do daily?
