I'm trying out for high school football and I want to know what position to play. I'm 4' 2 and 425 lbs. I'm extremely fast, I can run a 40 in 13.6 easily. I'm also very strong. I can bench the bar twice, thats a whole 45 lbs. I can tackle really well too, my friends have compared my tackling ability to that of Deion Sanders. I also have a cannon for an arm, I mean, I can throw the ball a whole 10 yards, usually pretty close to a spiral too. What position do you think I would be best at?

Come on guys, don't these questions start to get to you? I mean, I understand that these little kids are looking for advice, but do they really think that football is all about height and weight and has nothing to do with skill? Do they not realize that the only way to determine their best position is to see them play, which a coach would need to do? I know its kinda a rant, though I tried to at least make the first part humorous :)
Don't worry about offending me.... If you couldn't tell, I wasn't being serious about any of that, I was trying to mock the people who actually ask these questions like 5 times a day. If you couldn't sense the sarcasm, I followed up every claim to greatness with a stat that not even your most unathletic person would be that bad. :)

man if your that good at every position you should just play every position every down you'd have a pretty good team i think you sound pretty good

Its hard to find a position for someone who is short and fat (I hope I didn't offend you). You can try to play a halfback, but it might not work out,or you might just have to play another sport or something, and yes football is about height, weight, and skills.

... and Jimmy snaps the ball to Jimmy, and he finds Jimmy open in the flat. He throws the pass to Jimmy. It's a screen! Right Guard Jimmy and Right Tackle Jimmy block for Jimmy! Touchdown, JIMMY!

Agreed... I feel if they ASK, they should ask a COACH. I mean, the coach is a coach for a reason.

By the way, it woulda been funny if you said I run a 40 in 4... ever. Just a thought. =]
