...today...? Older people often blame younger people for today's problems. Write an article in which you argue that older people are the ones to blame.

What points could I include?

well, im one of the older generation, but at 52, and the father of 4 kids, i can lay the blame of todays society firmly at the door of mt generation.

we had just left the austerity of teh war years, and the draconian restrictions placed on us by what were ostensibly middle class values.

compared to my grandparents generation, (1900-1930) my parents had it easy... (1930-1945) with each succesive generation the liberals decided that the way we had bought our children up for teh previous 3000 years, wasnt acceptable. poor little johnny...

so the tail (in teh shape of pot smoking liberals) starts to wag the dog, and we can no longer chastise our kids, and from there on in, we were in deep poo..

kids NEED disipline. and maybe the uncontrollable little buggers will stop shooting each other, stop binge drinking and fighting in the street... and the only way youre going to get this workshy bunch of chav's off their ar-ses is to put them in their place, and teach them what their lacksadaisical parents ought to have, but didnt...

Oh, I'm on the other side of the fence on this one. I believe that if the youngsters were to take a leaf out of the older folk's book, they would be far better members of our society. Perhaps you are going on how many elderly folk are moaning and groaning about the youth of today. If our youngsters had some respect for thier elders and thier community, us old fogies would not be complaining about them!!
