what plants should i put in my garden?

So I am making a small garden and need some ideas of plants to put in it... i would be about 3m x 12m. i already have a fully grown cherry blossom tree in it and for that reason was thinking about an oriental theme but really have no idea... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
there is too many variables to answer this question. it depends on the type of soil, amount of sun/shade, how much water its going to get, the climate where you live etc... i would suggest going to your local plant nursery and ask them what will grow well in your area that's in keeping with the oriental theme you want.
