What Photoshop program to use?

I need to edit pictures, take a person out of one picture and put him inside another picture. or take one picture and make everything black and white exept for certain items like clothes or eyes to be colorful. what program would you suggest i use for these things? im not worried about shaing and slideshows and such, mostly editing. thanks for the help.
 
I would highly suggest Adobe Photoshop CS4. It's the newest version and might cost you quite a bit, but it's well worth it. You will never have to upgrade again.
