What phone to get - Toronto Canada

Hi,

I live in Toronto Canada. I was considering getting the Motorola L6, however, I was told that since it was not quad-band it would be unreliable. I was wondering if tri-band/quad-band pragmatically affects the quality of the reception of the phone, if I'm usually in the city.

I was also wondering if you could make any good recommendations for phones that are below 400$.

Cheers!

as far as I know, the bands in no way affect the performance of your phone. Now if you go to a country where a diff. frequency is used, which your phone doesnt support, then you're screwed.

IT affects it if the phone is 900/1800/1900 and you're on Rogers since rogers uses 850/1900 only, so you'll be missing the 850 band and so in some areas you won't get good reception at all.

If you want a cool quad band phone get the w600, you could probably get it for $400 from some places.
