I am very much an animal lover, but my parents are not.
I was told if i want an animal it must stay outside as much as i hate that i know the responsibility that comes with leaving an animal outside.
i have been debating b/w a ferret and a rabbit.
Do you think these are good? or any other suggestions?
thank you guys :)
i live in florida so the winters arent too too cold
but it is the heat i have to worry about
i am going to go with a rabbit. thanks for your opinions.
Would anyone know where i could get baby mini lops in fl?:)

Bunnies are great for outside only if you introduce them in the spring, where it's starting to get warm, make sure you have a proper outdoor cage so they can escape the heat under some shade and make sure they stay hydrated.
If you have a shed it would be great for winters, it keeps the wind and snow off them, my bunnies stay in my barn, non heated, and never had a casualty because of it, if you don't have a suitable shed a garage works best, just know you will have to be out with them as often as you can.
A ferret does not do well outdoors, during heat of summer or cold of winter and are best in controlled environments.

I have a pregnant doe currently in my barn, I use straw for bedding and warmth, with a shelter, and timothy hay and all her usual treats and pellets, she has always been outside and is large and incredibly healthy.
My Harlequin male who recently passed was kept indoors and had runny nose, when I introduced him outside his nose cleared up and he regained some bounce, sometimes outside is the best place for an animal.

I would go with the rabbit. My ferret had a hard time outside, It almost had a heat stroke.
