What period of history would this be considered?

that covers a great deal of events in england. From the middle ages, through the Renaissance. You'd probably have to choose a period, not just a group of years you choose (not sure...just assuming). Ask and see if you can do this, and if so God's speed!
 
That would cover several eras, including Elizabethan. By the time you're ready to get a Master's Degree, you'll know whatl you need to do.
 
When you get a masters can't you specialize in a certain type of history?

For exampe if I wanted to specialize in the years 1300-1700 in England what would that be called?
