What pace should I be cycling to loose fat?

I'm 22% body fat, 37" waist (a bit flabby) and want to get my body fat levels down to 'athlete' levels of below 14% asp and have a flat stomach. I know cycling is one of the best cardiovascular exercises, but I donlt know what pace / rpm / cadence is best suited to burning fat. Should I ride gently for a long ride, or would say a fast sprint short ride be better or or what?
