i dont know what one to join. which one is more dangerous what one has harder training. and can you go straight into OCS with a associates degree or do you need a bachalors

Last I heard you would need a bachelors degree. But it is harder to become an officer once you are already in. I know many people who got there degree but were denied to go to Officer Training School. My suggestion is if you want to become an officer, get your degree before you join.

You should join the marines because they are very strict and they give you better experience.

My husband is a Marine so i am going to try to be unbiast.

Marines have that mystike and pride that everyone looks at with awe and respect, they have that cockinesss because they know they are badasses, and they have shorter deployments.

Army, more money. shorter easier bootcamp, better standard of living

those are the plusses from both, either way you get respect for joining either. if you go army good luck. but if you go USMC Oorah abnd Semper Fi

Well since everyone said marines I'll give you the other side:

Army is better equipped than the marines.
The benefits after leaving the army are much better than after the marines (Career development wise, and the army network is much much bigger than any branch let alone the Marines)
Army bases are awesome and well funded.

Depends on what you want to do. Honestly, anyone driving down a road in Afghanistan or Iraq is at equal risk to getting killed by an IED. The Army is a much larger beast and every branch has its own culture and mission, but Army rangers and SF recieve a lot more training than the average Marine whereas the average Marine recieves more training than the average Army infrantryman. You cannot go to OCS in any service with an associate's degree, the closest is a two year program offered by some military academies (though not the service academies)
